The Bellino family of LouisianaUpdated July 23, 2008 | |
| Benardo Bellina came to this country by ship in 1878. He landed in New Orleans and traveled to Melville, Louisiana. After his arrival in Louisiana he married Virginia Vella. Some of the records show their name spelled Bellino and many more are spelled Bellina. They had four (4) living children. Mary, Lena, Lucy, and Anthony. Lena married Emile Trentacosta, later changed to Costa. Lucy married George Clesi. Both lived in New Orleans and raised children. We have found no information about Mary. All of the girls used the name, spelled Bellina, but Anthony spelled it Bellino, as we are now known. Anthony (Tony) married Josephine Legandi and moved to Alexandria, Louisiana.Bernard and Joseph were their only living children. Bernard married Pauline Conzoneri from New Orleans. They had 7 children. We are also interested in finding more information about the families of Marco and Antonina Bellina Conzoneri. They lived in New Orleans and raised six (6) children.Marco came to New Orleans by way of ship, from Italy, about 1902. Antonina was born in this country to parents Giovanni and Giovanna Bellina. She had three (3) sisters, Maria,Lucille,Rosalia and one (1) brother, Anthony.Maria married Vincent Santo Padre,Lucille married Anthony Monteleone, and Rosalia married Salvatore Malone. All lived in New Orleans, I believe, at one time. |
