I, Joanne Patricia Howell, am researching the descendants of Thomas Frederick Gilpin Howell who was born in London, England in 1837. He was the 8th child of 12 children of Thomas Howell and Mary Ann Pizzey of London, England and Clapham, Surrey. In the late 1850's or early 1860's Thomas Frederick Gilpin Howell with his brother William Gunston Howell travelled to China to trade in silk. He later married Jessie Rennie Leach. They had five children, a daughter Jessie Howell(whom I know nothing) and four sons Thomas Easton Howell (who moved to South Africa in the early 1890's and married and raised a family there), Robert Daubney Howell (who moved to Canada in the early 1890's and married and raised a family there), William Boyman Howell(was a physician and taught at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, possibly in the late 1890's and early 1900's) and Archibald Rennie Howell (who moved to Montreal,Canada in the 1890's married and raised a family there). Thomas Frederick Gilpin and Jessie Howell moved to Montreal, possibly after 1890.
I, Joanne Patricia Howell, am the granddaughter of Robert Daubney Howell. I am searching for information on the lives and careers of my grandparents and great grandparents and trying to track down their descendants. I would appreciate any information you may have and I am willing to share information that I may have that would be of interest to you.
