The Fleming, Schmitt Family Home Page

I have been researching my family for several years off and on. I am currently working on James Fleming born in 1811 in New York. He eventually was in Clayton, Illinois where he married Martha Askew. They had four children, James, Mary, Martha and William. I believe he may have been married before and would like information on him and where he was born. He was a painter and died in 1881 in Columbus, Kansas. He was buried in Clayton, Illinois.

George Calhoun b. about 1850 in Illinois, m. Malinda Teagarden in Macon County, Illinois. They were divorced and I have no other information about him.
