| This site is for researchers and family of William Henry Welch and Mary Lovette. They settled in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia in 1860. This site is dedicated to them. Henry and Mary married in approximately 1824. He was a carpenter by profession. On May 17, 1864 he enlisted as a soldier in the Confederate Army in 20th Infantry Regiment Company A Georgia. He served for 11 months and returned to his home in Macon, Georgia. Henry and Mary had 8 children: Thomas, Sidney, Silla, John, Adeline, Charles, Emma and Sarah, respectively. ************************************************************** Special Thanks to CarolAnne Welch, Sheri Steinman, Hazel T.
