Sixth generation of John Wellman b. 1789, Massachusett, m. Abigal Stewart b. New York State her occupation being a tailor, moved to Jackson County, Michigan in 1830, John died in 1855, their children were Henry b. Feb 22, 1813 d. April 4, 1871 and Permelia b. Feb. 5, 1822 d. Oct.6, 1837, 3 other children also died in infancy. Henry was born near Boston Massachusett and married Maria Mosher b. July 2, 1825 d. Feb. 7, 1873 in Westmoreland, Oneida county, New York daughter of Hiram Mosher and Anna Seelye. Henry and Maria's son Jasper E. Wellman b. July 14, 1851 d. Mar 22, 1873 married Sarah S. Conant b. Dec. 1, 1855 d. May 19, 1927, both are buried in Parma Michigan. Their childred were Jessie Fannie b. Dec. 28, 1877 d. Feb 13, 1966, Edith Marie b. Nov. 14, 1881 d. Mar. 15, 1969, Charles Henry b. Feb. 24, 1886 d Mar. 7, 1973, Avis Edith b. Mar. 29, 1888 d. Jan. 31, 1976, Jasper Fay b. Mar. 6, 1893 d. Feb. 14, 1975, Frank Ray b. Sep. 30, 1895 d. Oct. 1969. Son Jasper Fay m. Mary Emma Charles b. Aug. 10 1892 d. June 26, 1956 daughter of Levant M. and Helen (Marsh) Charles. Jasper Fay and Mary had 3 sons John Fay b. May 18, 1922, Neal Charles b. Aug. 21, 1924 d. Jan. 4, 1987, Duane Joesph b. Jan. 20, 1926 d. Feb. 16, 1997 and a daughter that died in infancy. I'm one of three sons and a daughter of John Fay Wellman.
