The Thomas N. Welch Family Home Page

I have been researching the Welch family and have traced my heritage to James W. Welch. James W. was born in 1816 in South Carolina. I found him on the 1850 Census for Marshall County, TN. Based on Marriage Records, he married Anna Wright in 1853, and Catherine P. Hicks Moore September 23,1857. Don't know if he had any children by the first two wives. Catherine was my Great grandmother. After her death June 25, 1878, he married Francis Brecheen. James W. died in Marshall County December 28, 1893.

I need help on placing James W. in South Carolina.
