Welcome to our page! I and my sister, Ruth Welch, are continuing the work of our parents, James H. and Magdalena B. Welch, in searching our family roots. Their work covered 30 years and focused on the Welch and Kemp line for our father, and the Brett and Patterson for our mother. Our earliest documented ancestors are:Caleb Welch who died in December 1829 in Jesserson CO, GA.

We are now attempting to verify information linking us to the Welch Line Caleb Welch of Colchester New London, CT son of Joshua Welch bn. in 1715, son of James Welch bn. 1692 in Rehoboth, MA., son of James Welch, bn. abt. 1655 in Rehoboth, MA. When and if this is accomplished, the volume will be revised to include all new information.

The Kemp Klan Reunion has been an annual event initiated by my p.grandmother in 1955 in Valdosta, GA. and is currently meeting in the Macon, GA area. Contact me for information on upcoming events.
