James Lewis /Louis Beatty I was born while in quarantine in Philadelphia at Province Island about 1750. James Lewis/Louis Beatty II was living in western Pennsylvania about 1773/1775. James Lewis /Louis Beatty I came to Kentucky 1790 and bought 1000 acres from Richard Masterson. The first Methodist meeting house was on the site when Masterson owned it. It is now a Federal Prison. James Lewis/Louis Beatty III was born in Kentucky 1791.
