Jim & Cindy (Oertel) Werner's Home Page

A big HELLO to anyone who ventures onto my first web page. My name is Cindy, and my husband of almost 25 years is Jim. I have been working on our family tree for a couple of years now, although there was a break in there for a bit to work on other things... Now, thanks to the gently pushing hands of Jim's niece, I have been getting back into the swing of things! We tried to get as much information together that we could for the Werner reunion held on September 14th. To date we have over 2000 names, (thanks mostly to his niece) with still many more to add! Some of these names are WERNER, EHART (Ehardt), PETERS, SMITH (these on Jim's side) and OERTEL, BURKARD, WISEMAN, ROBINSON, HENRY (on my side). Most of our ancestors came from Germany two or three generations ago...in the mid 1800's... and settled in the northeast Kansas area. We have learned several good ways to find the information we need, but any help from those with more knowledge would be appreciated! (:->)
