Deliverance Granger had a brother who was Postmaster General in Washington in 1808.He was a portly, polite, his head powdered to the fashion of the time.He was a Jeffersonian Democrat, one of the very few in New England.He campaigned for Jefferson in New England and was appointed Postmaster General both terms that Jefferson was President and also most of Madison's administration.AFN:L88Q-XT
