Our family tree is one we are all very proud of, I hope to share this tree with all of you and if we can help each other with this research it would be wonderful.
This is a tree of many, such as Covil, Webb, Mclellan, Canady's
and O'Briens
West and Boots are from my Husbands side of family.
It is thought That the Covil's may have come from New York, to the North Carolina and South Carolina area.
Lewis Alamance was raised in Onslow County, he was the son of William Francis and Elizabeth ( Betty )Tyndal Covil.
It is also believed the the Original Covil's may have started in France and ended up in Scotland,
My hopes is to find out the true beginning history until now

The Webb history goes back to England but our family ( Lewis Harrell Webb ) was born in Rockingham North Carolina.
We would like to know where the family first moved from.
Lewis Harrel Webb has been a mistery as far as who his parents were.
Lewis Harrell Webb married Virginia O'Brien also of Rockingham NC

Mclellan family came to the new world from Scotland in the late 1700"s
There were two brothers Alexander and Malcolm and it is thought that there was also a sister Mary.
Alexander was married to Mary McKinnon
They lived in Marion County SC. known as Dillon SC
The name Gainous/ Ganous is said to have originated in France,
There is a possibility that they migrated into Italy.
We really are not sure about where they came from originally.
