I'm researching Samuel George 1815-1857 Born and Died in Barbour County, Virginia (WV) His wife Delilah Zirkle birth 1817 Va. Samuel's parents were John Randolph and Sarah George. This Samuel is my great-great-great grandfather. Some of their children are Catherine Jane, James Warner, John Randolph, Rebecca Ann, Mary Clay, Reuben Taylor, and William Biggs. Note: Samuel may have been married twice, because in the 1850 census his wife's name was listed as Elizabeth, in Barbour County. Also I'm researching William Kirby (Kerby) 1800-1881. He died in Calhoun County, WV. Wife's name Mary White. Thier children: Rezin White, John Wesley, Nancy, Drusilla (or Drusia) and Sarah. They at one time lived in Tyler Co. Va (WV). In 1850 Census shows that William Kirby lived in Aleppo Township Green Co. Pennsylvania. Mary had died some where and he was married to Harriett Riggs. Also, John Tuttle death 1871 wife Poebe (Foster) Tuttle 1811-1892 lived in Tyler County, VA (WV) and buried in the Tuttle Cemetery in Tyler County, WV near Sistersville. Some of their children are Joel, Elias, Jesse, Benone, Sarah, Aaron L., William and Daniel. These names were listed in the 1860 Census Tyler County Virginia (WV) Page 160. Also, Phillip Starcher, the son of Jacob and Barbary Starcher, Phillip was born in Hampshire County, VA (WV) 1779. His first wife was Mary Bush. I have no record of her death. Phillip's secound wife was Rebecca Mace they married on December 5,1801. Adam and Henry are believed to be the children of Phillip and Mary's. The following children are to be the children of Phillip and Rebeca's union. Jacob, Abraham, William Thomas, Isaac, Aronld, Mary"Polly", and Sarah. Phillip and his family moved to Calhoun County in the early 1800's. The Starcher name is probably German and has had many spellings: Slautser, Statser, Statzer, Statsor, Statur and the present day spelling Starcher. |
