FAMILY SOURCES

Susannah Sebastian born ca 1770 probably Virginia and most likely the dau of Benjamin Sebastian as she is mentioned in his will.

Susannah had a child prior to marrying Hezekiah Barker. The child's name was Hezekiah G. Sebastian born November 19, 1786 probably in Wilkes County, NC. This Hezekiah G. Sebastian aka Hezekiah Barker for the reason as mentioned in his pension record that his stepfather (Hezekiah Barker) had raised him from a child. Hezekiah Sebastian served in the War of 1812 under the name of Hezekiah Sebastian as he received a pension. Hezekiah G. Sebastian aka Hezekiah Barker died February 9, 1860 in Morgan County, Kentucky and is buried in the Pomeroyton Union Cemetery in Menifee County, Kentucky.

In the year 1825, Susannah Sebastian Barker sold 497 1/2 acres of land on the waters of the Roaring River in Wilkes County, NC. She and most of her sons removed to Monroe County, Tennessee and lived there for a short time before removing to Lawrence County, Kentucky, where Susannah and sons, John, Solomon and Hardin Barker appear on the early tax lists of 1827 for Lawrence County, Kentucky. Lewis Barker remained in Wilkes County, NC and married and had a family there.

It appears that after 1830 sometime Susannah died probably in Lawrence County, Kentucky.
