Per message board posting of Thor Egede-Nissen, he states the following:
Hugh and James P. Allen were brothers and the sons of James Allen, born 1756 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Thomas Allen was not their brother, but given the nearness of which they always lived through Houston County, Georgia; a family relationship is strongly suggested. It is a possibility that Thomas was a first cousin to both Hugh and James P. Allen.
