David Murray (son of James Murray and Elizabeth Edwards) was born Bet. 1722 - 1724 in Suffolk Parish, Nansemond, Virginia, and died 1797 in Georgia. He married Catherine Rhodes on Abt. 1780.
Notes for David Murray: David Murray must have died by 1798. Catherine his wife, was known to be alive as late at the land lottery of 1807. In the 1807 land lottery of 1807 widows without minor children were declared eligible to draw. For this reason Catherine was able to participate. Catherine won a lot in Wilkinson County. It is believed that she was living with either her son Stephen Sr. or with her daughter Charity Murray Thompson. According to records Charity and Catherine both joined the Beach Branch (Sardis) Baptist Church in Apr 1804, a few months after it was organized.
