Augustus E. Allen (son of Thomas Allen and Dority Dolly Murray) was born Abt. 1838 in Burke County, Georgia, and died June 23, 1862 in Canton, Mississippi.

He died of typhoid fever at Canton, Mississippi on June 23, 1862.
