Find Family

Researching the West family who travelled from Georgia to Dallas, Texas in 1874 by boat. My great grandfather and one of his brothers came to settle and live out their lives in the state of Oklahoma. Other names associated with this line: Felkner, Allen, Murray, Thompson.

Researching the Capehart family, my grandmother, Martha Jane Capehart was raised in the small town of Ashville, Alabama until the age of 12. She left on a train with her family and travelled to the state of Oklahoma. Other names associated with this line: Murray, Edmonson, Melton, Sewell.

Brick walls are the West Line: Frederick West and Mary Jane Allen were married on December 20, 1849 in Houston County, Georgia. They are enumerated in the 1850 Houston County census as well as the 1860 Sumter County, Americus P.O., Georgia census. They had 7 sons all born between 1851 and 1862; Frederick and Mary Jane were both born in 1826. Best information I have is they were both born in Georgia.

Please contact me if you feel you are related or have information related to this line.
