Find Family
I am Baruch Aaron ben Pinchas, AKA Bruce Wexler. Though not a religious Jew, I find it helps to advertise your Jewish name since Jews have unique problems finding their roots from the western hemisphere.
On my father's side, I know my grandfather, who died 19 years before I was born, was a poor man who hauled feight around New York City. He was born in Tanapol, now the Ukraine, and arrived in the US in 1888 with his wife,, and new born son. His wife died a decade later, and he then married my grandmother who was from Jassy, (or Iasi), Roumania. His name was Louis Wechsler, and her name was Bertha Marcus.
I know more about my mother's side. I know for instance who my great-grandfather was, and that he came to this country with his pregnant wife, and then returned to Czernowitz, in what is now Ukraine.
My mother arrived here at the age of four months, with her mother, and two brothers. My grandparents eventually had nine chidren who lived to adulthood. My grandfather had preceeded my grandmother by a year, arriving in New York from Antwerp in early October, 1907. He was Harry (Chiam Hirsch) Dorf, and she was Molly (Esther Emulka) Kremenitz Dorf.

Any information you are willing to share, I would appreciate. Of course I am more than happy to share what I have! L'chiam...to life!!!!!!!!!!
