Dad was underage(16)when he joined the Air Force in 1942(15th AAF, 461st Bomb Group, 766th Squadron, Aerial gunner, B-24 Liberator, flew 73 combat missions) with an assumed name. Two years later, while stationed in Italy, a warrant was issued back home because he did not show up to register at the local draftboard when he came of age!
