| Researching Whelchel, Stockton, Garrison, Meaders, Mize and Yates familes from Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. Francis Whelchel arrived in 1739 on the Betsie with other young Palatine boys, married Anne Stockton and produced all the Whelchels now in the US.I am descended from Francis Jr, then John, then Major Davis, Edward Cowan, Edward Darwin, Samuel Eston and finally my father Philip.Looking for information of Francis in Germany as well as information on Edward Darwin who fled Georgia after killing a man and lived all over the west. Also researching Garrisons of NY, Staten Island starting in early 1600s, and their ultimate move to Franklin and Banks County GA with the Meaders family.Also looking for information on Yates family of Virgina, that eventually ended up in Carrol County, GA.
