lst Mississippi Cavalry, Private. Served on Board of supervisors of Tallahatchie Co. known as 'The Board of Police', Tallahatchie Co. Served as Treasurer 1852 and Chancery clerk from 1853-1859. They made appointments for other boards and commissions such as road projects, mapping of the county, to determine tax rates and toll charges for bridges and ferries to cross the creeks and river.
