Find Family
Little did I know this search for my ancestors would open up a new world to cousins all across the country. June 23rd. 2007 in St. Mary's City, MD there will be a 350th Anniversary Celebration of Gerrett Vansweringen's arrival to America. Come and share! Go to the internet sight link provided below to St. Mary's City, MD and see for yourself the findings from this early colony that began in the 1600's early Americas! My maternal grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Swearengen Jones shared with me information she recorded in the family bible. This was just the beginnings of my search for my family roots that go back to Holland in the 1600's. The information I have been able gather has grown exponentially with the added benefit of the internet and the contacts that have been made possible through this resource and the many contributors. Come and share your information at this historical event. I praise God for the most important gift, my Christian faith which is strongly woven throughout both sides of my family. If anyone has any information regarding these family members, please contact me. I would like to hear from you. If you find any errors, ommissions, or additions please let me know. I'm far from perfect and not a professional but enjoy putting the puzzel pieces together. Blessings! Alene Dame Whitesides
