Mary Jane Bonta Thiercof, 87, of Larkspur died Saturday at Marin General Hospital.

Mrs. Thiercof was born and raised in Gustine. She was a homemaker. She was the first president of the Young Ladies Institute of Gustine.

She is survived by her children, Mike Thiercof, Bob Thiercof and Buz Thiercof, all of Larkspur; brothers, Chester Bonta of Gustine and Robert Bonta of Stockton; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Emery Thiercof, and two brothers.

The rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Larkspur. A Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
