"Cloudy" and Ground hog's day the sun did not shine all day. Washed in the forenoon went to town in the Afternoon. Ida was over in the Evening.

Note: I found only one Rose POWERS in the 1870 Census...the young wife of Emory POWERS-they had just married in Jan. She was 18 and he was 23, living in Springfield. Found a marriage record for Emory POWERS and a Rosa GRAM for Jan 5, 1870 - I think this must be them. No relation to Belle that I can find>

"Clear" Went over to Ella's and helped prepare for the Party. Milo, Graff & Will SHERMAN (SHERWOOD?) called this morning. I was Eighteen Years old today. Had a Birthday Party to Night - There were 44 there. Had a very nice time and stayed all night at Ell's.Oyster supper.
