Son of Mathias Lewis Smith (1782-1821) and Nancy Christena Myers. Milan Smith married Mahala Armstrong (1819-85), and they were the parents of John M. Smith (1839-1926). John Smith married Sophronia Bloomer(1844-1921). She was the daughter of John Bloomer and Anna Allen. John & Sophronia Smith had 9 children. One of their daughters, Anna (1863-1920), married James B.
