Our only known photo of Mahala ARMSTRONG SMITH. These photo's appeared in the family bible record. Mahala was born May 13 1819, the daughter of John ARMSTRONG (1790-1864)and Elizabeth PARRETT (1799-1843). Mahala and Milan Smith were married on March 11, 1838 and had 7 children; John, William Lewis, Mary Elizabeth, Sarah Jane Joseph H. Abel A. and Harriett Catherine. They owned a 200 acre farm near Jeffersonville, Fayette Co., OH. Mahala died 17 July 1885.
