No further information has been found on John W. or Libby Thomasson since the birth of their last child. It is thought that they both died and that is why their children were raised by other family members.
Were their children born in Franklin Co., Georgia or Newberry Co., South Carolina. Did they move to Newberry, South Carolina (before/after parents 'died') and then raised by family members of Libby's?

Namesake?? In the 1820 GA Lottery, Walton County, William R. Thomason received 2 draws; speculation that he was a Revolutionary War soldier. On 9 mar 1822, a William R. Thomason gave power of attorney to Frederick Baldwin to sell Lot 329 in 3rd Dist. of Earley County. Walton GA C-D-26. William R. Thomason was a resident of former Jackson Co GA per Wayfarers in Walton, by Anita B. Sams.
