The Forever Bluming Family Tree
We are researching the Blum (Blume, Bluhm, Bloom) family. They were from a small village called Duppach which is located approximately 17 km northeast of Prum and about the same northwest of Geroistein in the Rhineland Palinate area of Germany. Lambertus Blum was born 1765 in Duppach. His parents were Valentinus (Valentini) and Anna Marie (Schmitt) Blum. Lambertus married Marie Barbara Simonis on April 8, 1788. They landed in New York and moved to Marshfield (Fond Du Lac county), WI in 1852. They lived there until 1874 when they moved to Westphalia, IA.
