James Elwood Armstrong (b. 26 Feb 1944, d. 13 Oct 1993)
James Elwood Armstrong (son of Neal Elwood Armstrong and Dorothy Mae Saunders) was born 26 Feb 1944 in Janesville, Rock Co., Wisconsin, and died 13 Oct 1993 in Los Angeles, California.
Notes for James Elwood Armstrong: CAUS: Liver disease Jim quit high school and went into the US Army from 1962 to1965. He was stationed on Governors Island, New York, but livedwith his wife and son on Staten Island. He got his high schooldiploma and two years of college in the Army. Upon hisdischarge he went to work for his Dad at Rocket Product's from1965 to 1972. He attended Northwestern Trading School andworked at Butler in Minneapolis from 1973 to 1979, also workingnights at Champion Auto Parts. He then moved to California andworked for Nygren & Nygren as a Sales Rep andPartner until hisdeath in 1993.
Jim loved to work on and race cars. He raced in Minneapolis andthen again in California. He won 1st place in his class at theWinston Winter Nationals in 1988.
