Am researching data concerning my great grandparents: William Whorton, born approx 1817 or 1822, possibly Ky or Tn. Martha Campbell, born approx 1822 or 1826, possibly Ky or Tn. Have found a William and Martha before and after the above dates. 1850 census data (Collin Co, Tx) indicates children: M Whorton born abt 1845 in Ar; E C Whorton born ab 1846 in Ar; John W Whorton (my great grandfather) born Nov 1, 1847, in Tx; Elizabeth Whorton born abt 1849 in Tx. No further data found yet. A letter penned by a deceased cousin relates that a great aunt(by marriage, deceased) indicates that my William was killed on a Civil War battle field in Ky and is buried there. So far that hasn't been confirmed as the cousin couldn't remember the exact location.
Other family names being researched:Levi Elwood Burnett (July 08, 1857) married to a Isabella Burnetta Heigh; Jessie Modesty Woods possibly born in Ar, Thomas Elmer Booze(step grandfather) born Dec 21, 1873, in Logan Co, Ohio, John Adams and Melinda Francis, and Joe Krosky Campbell.
