J. C. Langley Dies at Home
Former S. & T. Worker Was Accordianist
James C. Langley, aged 75, of 3349 Neilson Ave., former employee of
Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co., died at 8:45 PM, Wednesday at his residence
after an eight-week illness of heart trouble.He was widely known as an
accordionist.
Mr. Langley came to the United States when he was three years old and he
had lived in Youngstown for 35 years, coming here from Sharon [PA].He was
born in England June 2, 1866, a son of James and Jane Uppington Langley.
He married the former Maude Luce 54 years ago.
Mr. Langley leaves his wife; three sons, Ralph of Youngstown, William of Toledo
and Frank of Bellaire; four daughters, Mrs. James Millsop, Mrs. Louis Williams,
and Mrs. William Stauffer, all of Youngstown, and Mrs. Gordon Lindsay of
Hollywood, Calif.; three brothers, Charles and Thomas of Sharon, and Frank of
Struthers; and two sisters, Mrs. Samuel Williams of Youngstown and Mrs.
Henry Eels of Bedford.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday at the Shriver-Allison South
Side Funeral Home, where friends may call Friday evening.
