The following inventory (inheritance) index lists all Soufflenheim inventory records from 1674-1791 found in the Haguenau Notary Records 6E16 Bundle 269, and the Roeschwoog Notary Records 6E33 Bundles 58-69. It is likely that some records were missed in the compilation of this index. Bundles 62 and 65 were checked a second time. One additional record was found in bundle 65.

There are 558 records in this index. They are listed in three ways.

1. By the last name of the deceased.

2. By the last name of the spouse of the deceased.

3. By date.

Some inventories do not list name of the spouse of the deceased on the first page of the inventory - the page used to compile this index. When this was the case, the remainder of the inventory was searched for the spouse's name. There are about 16 inventories in which the spouse's name is nowhere to be found within the document. In addition to inventories, several miscellaneous documents are found in the bundles. Inventories within a bundle are organized by a numeric code and not by date.

A + (plus) sign in front of the name of a spouse indicates the spouse is deceased.
