William F. Widgins III of Chespeake Virginia

I am researching the Widgins family from Petersburg, Virginia.
Willam Widgins lived in Petersburg and fought in the Civil War with the 13th Virginia Cavalry Company "E". He had 2 horses shot out from underneath him.

My father has found some references which have Widgins living in England in the 1600s. I am very interested in tracing back my ancestry to England.

Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
