READERS: I am tracking a line of Blakes who came to Brooklyn New York abt.1890. Geo.Francis Blake & Mary R Sweeney of Kilarny Kerry Co.Ireland. Chidren: John Edward,James,Geo F.jr.,& Frank. all born abt.1900-1910 in NY. All moved to San Diego,Ca. abt.1920 Geo.Jr & Sr. Started a Nursery Business.(Southern Calif.Nursry Co.) thru 1932.Then dissapeared? In 1923 John apperared at Univ.Cal.Berkely John E.,attended UC.Berkeley married Ethel Curtiss,Had a son in 1929.John jr. .John E.Sr.Had hist.as working For British Petroleum in in Far East, spoke several dialects of chinese.Last seen in San Francisco 193o's in US Marine Uniform. //I would appreciate any clues to my missing father,or his family.. The Curtiss line is the Thomas Curtiss Curtiss of Wethersfield Ct.1630 to Thomas Ed.1870-1955.. The Folsom line is John Smith alias Foulsham Exeter,NH 1638 to Rolfe AMes Folsom 1925- et al. All associated families are recorded. ie Hatch,Crockett.Ames ... Also the Curtiss associated familes are Ensign,Elsworth,Toy & Eno. the ,California associated families of Bryant, and Lane. Cooper School of Medicine est.San Francisco 1560/70.Was started by Dr.Elijah Cooper his nephew Dr.Levi Cooper Lane,Naval Surg. under Adm.Stockton joined him as Faculty member, And Prof.of Med.1870 and eventually started Stanford-Lane Universiy Hospital in San Francisco The records are scattered on this item so I need help. Levi is my ggu, his sister was my maternal gg -gradmother..Any Help out there ???
