| I am researching my family tree, particularly the two names Wiebe (paternal) and Wilmore (maternal).Wiebe is German and the earliest known ancestor is Louis Edward Wiebe, born August 25, 1840. Other names connected with Wiebe are Jacobson, Magnusson, and Buckley. Wilmore is English, I believe, and this line is traced farher back, to a Daniel Wilmore born circa 1701. Other Wilmores in my line are Willis Clayton Wilmore and Guy Lesley Wilmore. Other surnames connected with Wilmore are Fidler, Lesley, Love, Ferguson, and Harbour. The Wilmores resided in Ridgeville, Randolph County, Indiana from the mid-1800s on. Before that they were located in Virginia, specifically Amherst and K&Q Counties.
