| When I first had children of my own, I found out my father had no knowledge of his parents origin and no living family members to find out. With a common name the search was next to impossible. I started gathering information on my grandparents on my Mother's side. Reays and Scotts. The Reays are well documented and easy to track. The Scotts not so much! The Scott line has lead me through the Stringers and the Skippens with much success. Again the male line filled with very common names has been more difficult. After a break of many years, I am starting again with visits to cemeteries, museums and small towns throughout Canada. It's been a rewarding and amazing journey. I hope you can help me and maybe I can help you! When I am done, I hope to pass on to my children a volume of stories, heritage and roots of their ancestors and the knowledge that this world is a very small place and we are all connected in some way or another. |
