Sullivan, They had Cherokee Allotment Lands in Skiatook Twp. Tulsa Co., OK. in 1900-1914, when they drown. Drown: week of Aug 28, 1914 near Tahlequah in Illinios River, trying to save their child. Of their 9 children, I need more info on: Ted, Alle Mae, Maude & Nutch Jones. I have info on the rest. I would like more on my grandfather William "Blackie" Miner Jones who left OK. for Midland, TX. in 1944. May have had another family there and died in Oct. 1951. MOYER FAMILY: Nettie Viola Moyer, who went by Dolly. This is my grandmother and I would love to find any info on her. I only have her birth, death dates places, her marriages and her children, along with the 2 pics here on site! Facts simply don't let you know the person. If you ever heard of Dolly, please contact me. Her parents were Charles Edwin Moyer & Mary Josephine "Josie" Spurgeon. She was born in 1903 in Elsmore, Kansas and lived her life in Oklahoma, around Oklahoma City, Anadarko & Guthrie. She married William Minor Jones, who went by Blackie, the John Harlan Williams. FOWLER Family: Seeking parents of William M. Fowler & James Fowler living in Cherokee County/Forsyth Co. GA. by 1830. Parents listed as coming fron SC on census'. RANEY Family: William Ewing Raney. m: Mary Elizabeth Renfrow in Wright Co., MO., she was born in 1872. I have no info on William. He changed his name to Renfrow when they went to Yell Co., AR. abt 1905. ************************************************************* My Direct Surnames; BRYANT, DYE, FOWLER, KINGFISHER, HARLAN, JONES, MOYTOY, MOYER, RENFROW, ROACH, SPURGEON, SULLIVAN, WARD, WATKINS and ....... Many of these surnames have Cherokee Ancestry or intermarriages. Dawes Roll No.'s included, plus other Roll info & Nancy WARD descendants. Some lines go back to 1600's. We have family members from ENG., OH, PA., VA, KS, KY, OK, I.T., CA, GA., SC., T.N. MO., NV. and AR., to list a few! Cherokee Surnames: Check the index in the book "Voices of Our Ancestors," as there are just to many to list. Have d/o Nancy Ward & Cheif John Ross. Non Indian Surnames: (Check book Index for your line, by name) FOWLER, 1797 S.C.>GA>OK.>AR. (with married in surnames), some have since gone to CA., AL. and TX. RANEY, KY>MO>AR> RENFROW, 1800's MO.>AR. & CA. MOYER, 1750's VA.>PA.>OH.>KS.>OK., later some to CA. HARLAN, 1500's ENG, IRE, PA, OK. married into Cherokee line. Later went everywhere! JONES, 1800 KY.>I.T/OK. married into Cherokee line. Later CA., TX. & NV. WATKINS, 1700's VA.>KY.>IT/OK.>TN.>TX>AL.>CA. I am always updating, so check back! |
