George's W. Wilson was the oldest son of Daniel Pegg Wilson born in Ohio in 1830. George Wilson migrated with his Father's family from Illinois to Oregon in 1852. George Wilson's first wife Ann Eliza passed away in 1865 and he was remarried in 1873 to Elizabeth Goodpasture. George W. Wilson was in the business of oyster harvesting in Willapa Bay, cattle ranching on his land, a prominent Pacific County citizen, twice elected as County Commissioner and was the patriarch of Wilsonville, WA.
