Estella, before her marriage to George Wilson, was a bookkeeper for the Portland, Oregon firm of Michael Lewis and Staver, a farm equipment and supplies company. Estella, during the years of World War II, returned to work as a bookkeeper for Mitchell Lewis and Staver, the same company she worked for before she was married. Estella was injured in trackless trolley when she lost her footing and injured her back and shoulder, after which her health gradually deteriorated until she died of cancer in 1951. Estella and her husband lived in their home on 1703 S. E. 32nd Place in Portland. Estella and her husband, George, are buried beside each other in Section 009, Lot 137 of the River View Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
