Ancestors of George William Paul Green

      202. Peter Smith173, born Abt. 1680. He married 203. Barbara Barboury Bef. 1750.

      203. Barbara Barboury, born Abt. 1680 in Rowan Co, NC.

Notes for Peter Smith:
[Willey Family Tree 16 Jan 2005.FTW]

I copied the will for Peter Smith of 1767 and in it he lists his daughter Eve married to John Adams.
the children of Eve were listed as John, George, Peter, Barbara and Susanna Adams. Eve Smith Adams sisters and brothers were listed as George, Peter, John, Margret, Mary Susanna, Elizabeth Magdolin. Christopher Knatzor was put in charge of the money left to Eve Adams children. So maybe Mary Susanna Smith is the wife of Jacob Hunter. Have you found out anything on your end.   Notes for Eva Smith:
[Willey Family Tree 16 Jan 2005.FTW]

I found proof yesterday that Widow Adams lived on Elworth Creek next to Mary Kanetzer in 1807. As you know Charles Hunter sold that parcel of land to the Knertzers. so it is possible that Jacob Hunter could have married Mary Adams since they lived next door to each other. I haven't had time to go to Rowan county to research the Adams but I will and will let you know. Karen Hunter wife of Mike Hunter sixth great grandson of Charles Hunter Sr. of Rowan County NC
