Sue do you have any theories as to which is Randolph's(b 1696) mother--Mary Wilcoxen or Elizabeth Hodgkisson. I do not have dates on either except for death date 1744 on Mary. I have Elizabeth as 1st wife Mary 2nd. Also like to add that Richard Holbrooks (s/o Braddick)wife Rachel Burton later married Robert Stephens after Richard died in the Civil War. I have seen her listed as Stephens on 1874 Elliott Co Ky vitals records(births). Could you verify for me what the tombstones gave as dob and dod for Braddick and Judith. I have found two different dates for them. Thanks Jan Bailey

John Holbrook Seal
At a Court held for King George County the 4th day of May 1733 The last Will and Testament of John Holbrook desed was presented into Court by katherine his Widd and Executrix who made oath thereunto and the same was proved by the oaths of Nathaniel Elkins and Joseph Crouch and and ad: reitted to record

NOTE: A court entry noting the entry of this will was found. Inquiries to both the Virginia State Library and to King George County Courthouse resulted in letters that the book containing this will no longer existed since the courthouse was burned during the Civil War. Later, this missing volume turned up. No one would admit anything, but it appears it was carried off during the Civil War and has been with a family in Michigan. A doctor from Charleston, West Virginia is reputed to have put up the money for its' return.
