In January 1899, at age 19 (he would be 20 on 29 April 1899), my Grandfather, Marcus D. Renfroe, returned from the Spanish-American War. He went to Indianapolis Indiana and had a picture made of himself in his Spanish-American War, U.S. Army Medical Corp uniform. (Larry Smitt)
