John Patrick Broderick (son of Michael S. Broderick and Anna Shields) was born January 6, 1907 in Manila, Crawford Co, Iowa¹⁵⁵, and died March 13, 1981 in Columbus, Platte Co, Nebraska¹⁵⁵. He married Sylvia Marie Jahde on June 21, 1929 in Dunlap, Iowa at St. Patrick Church, daughter of Henry Jahde and Malinda Hollander.

Notes for John Patrick Broderick:
John had a number of businesses as a young man. He owned farms, a hatchery, a creamery and a sales barn.

After moving to Columbus, Ne. worked at Behlen's Manufacturing.

He was always known as a soft touch and died being owed several thousand dollars by people he had loaned money to.
