She married John Patrick Broderick on June 21, 1929 in Dunlap, Iowa at St. Patrick Church, son of Michael S. Broderick and Anna Shields.

Notes for Sylvia Marie Jahde:
Sylvia was the mother of seven children, in which, she took a great deal of pride. Her descendants included 27 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She loved to get telephone calls and was in touch with her children on a regular basis.
