Charles Sidney Williams, Sr. (son of Perry C. Williams and Martha Campbell) was born September 22, 1869 in St. Charles, Winona County, Minnesota1217, and died May 6, 1938 in Chadron, Nebraska1218. He married (1) Lily Thomas, daughter of Benjamin F. Thomas and Sarah Roseannah Hamlin. He married (2) Pearl Johnson. He married (3) Agnes Quinn. He married (4) Hattie Blessing. He married (5) La Verne L. Sturdivant on August 5, 1927 in Greeley, CO, daughter of Joe Sturdivant and Adaline Rogers.

Sid was Sheriff of Sioux County for 12 years. At the same time he ran a ranch and raced horses.

Sid was transporting a prisoner to the State Penitentiary in Lincoln in 1935 when he was involved in a one-car crash. He suffered a severe spinal injury. In March of 1938 he became paralyzed from the waist down and died in May of 1938.

Sid came with his family to Dawes County at Chadron. Nebraska in 1886 and was a homesteader and pioneer.
