Lewis C. Williams (son of Perry C. Williams and Martha Campbell) was born 18481245, and died June 28, 1865 in near Washington D. C of chronic diarrhia.
Notes for Lewis C. Williams: Lewis C. Williams was the oldest son of Perry C. Williams when he enlisted into the Union Army at Rochester, Minn. on March 31, 1865. He was placed in the First Regiment of the Minnesota Volunteers. He was 5' 6'' with gray eyes, brown hair and a dark complexion. He served in Company H of the 1st Minnesota Regiment.
He died in Field Hospital on June 28, 1865 near Washington D. C of chronic diarrhia. Entered the 2nd Division A. C. Hospital on June 7. His date of death and burial was June 28, 1865 at Jeffersonville, Indiana. Source army papers in my files.
