He was also known as Mael-Coluim. King of The Scots 1005-1034. Fought a battle in 1008 at Carham with Uchtred (who died in 1016), son of Waltheof, Earl of the Northumbrians, and over came the Danes in 1017. He published a code of laws and was murdered in 1034.
