of Giles County, deceased, Robert Williams of said county and myself have
divided title to , and now hold equal and undivided interest in , a tract
of land in the State of Tennessee in said county on the waters of Buchannan's
Creek and bounded as follows viz: ... containing one hundred acres- the
same having been granted by the State of Tennessee to the heirs of said
Williams ( of whom I am one ) by grant No. 7716. Now I have bargained and
sold and do hereby transfer and convey all my rights, title, and interest
in and to said land to Robert Williams and his heirs for the sum of one
dollar to me in hand paid and for other valuable considerations and viz
services done me by the said Robert and expenses incurred by him on my
account. To have and to hold the same to the said Robert Williams, his
heirs and assigns forever. And I covenant and agree, this 13th day of Sept.

As reported in "Estate Records Giles County Court, p.12). W.A. Milhous,Administrator
vs. Mary Williams and W.H.Lucy Petitioner would represent to the Court
that Amanda Williams died at her residence in Giles County, December 16,
1883, leaving surviving one child, Mary. Amanda Williams died owning a
small tract of land and a small personal estate. The land lay in the 20th
District of Giles County and was bounded on the North by Rolly Harwell
and George Williams, East by Robert Williams, on the South by Samuel Tucker
and West by George Williams containing 30 acres, 15 acres was cleared and
15 acres in timber. A good log house stood on the property along with a
smokehouse and stables. W.H. Lucy was Guardian of Mary Williams. Mary Williams
married William H. Daniel, January 28, 1886. S.H. Tucker purchased the
land owned by Mary Williams Daniel. On April 10, 1878 Mary A. wife of Thomas
J. Evans, Caroline Ingram, Richard Williams, R.P. Williams and G.W. Williams
Quit Claimed the 30 acres of land to Amanda Williams being her interest

A. Watson vs. Henry Watson, et al Complainant Martha A. Watson represented
to the Court that on Sept. 15, 1858 she married James Watson and they lived
together as man and wife until his death February 28, 1862. James Watson
died leaving widow Martha A. and children: Emma Frances, wife of James
Tinnery; Henry Wilkins Watson, John A. Watson, Eliza Jane , wife of Robert
Williams, a deaf mute; William E. Watson, all of whom were twenty-one years
of age. James P., Edward A. Malinda J., Noah D., and George L. were minors.
Petitioner stated that she had not received anything from the estate of
her husand and that her husband was indebted to her in the amount of more
than $700. She had received some money and slaves from the estate of her
father, William Neal. She stated she and her two chilldren had of subsist
on the charity of her mother , Mrs. Nancy Neal and other relatives. Martha
A. Watson suing for her dower.
