INTERESTED IN THE GILES, LINCOLN, BEDFORD, COFFEE, FRANKLIN, AND GRUNDY CO. AREA OF SOUTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE!

GILES CO.,TN
ROBERT WILLIAMS, b.c. 1795 in N/C and lived and died @1867 in Giles County, TN. He married Julia A. LUCY from Brunswick Co., VA, who was the daughter of Robert LUCY and Catherine ABERNATHY LUCY from Brunswick Co. VA. The LUCY family probably emigrated around 1822, along with many Huguenots/Methodists led by Aaron V. BROWN. Robert Williams and Julia lived in Giles County, Tennessee near Mount Pisgah in a hollow called "Cucumber Hollow", named for a peculiar type of magnolia tree extant in the area. In the current times, that area is just left of I-65, south of where US 64 crosses.

GRUNDY CO.,TN John MULLINS, born in VA in 1782, moved (probably from Giles Co., Virginia) with his brother, Mathew MULLINS (1779) to Bedford and Coffee(later Grundy)Counties.John Mullins lived in Grundy County near the town of Pelham and ran a mill on the Elk River. Mathew Mullins lived in Bedford County near the town of Wartrace and ran a mill on the Duck River.Their sister, Mourning Mullins Davidson(1790) married Robert Louis Davidson, and lived in Franklin Co.,Tn, probably on Rock Creek. Would like to hear from anyone researching this family. Connected with Arnold, Simmons, Lasater, others. Please see 1857 Mullins' family
letter below for further genealogical information on this family.

LINCOLN CO., TN
Descendants of these families, and those below, settled in Lincoln Co., TN. near the Millville/Dellrose areas and in Giles Co., TN , just across the county line at Bunker Hill and Pisgah. Many of the family are buried at BeeSpring Cemetery, just inside Giles Co., TN.

My families of interest: MERRELL, SOLOMON, MULLINS, WATSON, LUCY, WILLIAMS, MINITREE, MITCHELL, GRANT, DAUGHERTY, ABERNATHY, AND OTHERS. Most came from VA and NC and their descendants were numerous in Texas, Oklahoma, and other points West!
PLEASE LET ME HEAR FROM YOU!
