In 1798 William Garrard was jone of the original Trustees of the Bourbon Academy.
In 1794 Wm. Garrard was among the men who secured Legislature for Opening of the South Licking
Feb. 1803 Wm. Garrard presented License to become a lawyer in Lexington Kentucky.
William Washington Garrard and family moved to Bourbon Co. Kentucky in 1884 and remained there until 1818 when he moved to Lauderdale co. Ala.
In Jan. 1824 he was elected Clerk of the County Courts and was required to put up a $10,000.00 bond. He
remained in this office until 1832.
In 1825 W. W. purchased Lot #11 in Florence Ala. and contracted with John Samples to build him a two story house, made of Lauderdale Burnt Brick.
In 1837 William W. Garrard purchased land in Hardin Co. Tenn. Bk.3, page 229 & 230.
In Oct. 1847Hardin Co. Tenn. He was lliving in Savannah on Main St. in a 2 story red brick storehouse Bk. H. p. 121.
By Oct. 1851 William W. Garrard was deceades and Elizabeth was Administrator. In Oct. 1852 Elizabeth was selling negros to pay debts. Bk. J p. 72. Bk. I. p.205.
William W. Garrard purchased 640 acres in Monroe Co. Miss. from Wm. Duke Nov. 7, 1836 for $6,600.00 Book 5, p. 43.
He sold above property to a Mr. Wilson in 1839 fro $3,000.00
In June 1826 Wm. W. purchased a negro mulatto girl named Louisa from Oliver Simpson of Rockingham N. Carolina.
